Help your child keep their reading skills strong over the summer holidays. Our fun and supportive program is designed to maintain momentum, build confidence, and ensure students enter Year 1 feeling prepared and excited about reading.
Through personalised activities, guided reading sessions, and hands-on learning, we help prevent the common “summer slide” and keep young learners progressing.
Our two day program will cover:
Building upon the knowledge of the alphabetic code
Learning to use different comprehension strategies to understand texts
Practising reading with expression and greater fluency
Sight word recognition
Vocabulary, oral language and listening comprehension skills
Explicit teaching of key grammatical features and how to apply them to a writing task
